This new mobiado luxury handset is a real rival to the Vertu. With good features and rock solid design.just looks like pure class.but at $1200 you have to pay for the Privilege.

Engineering:A mobile phone that is luxurious by design but that was also solid and strong for demanding everyday use. Mobiado Professional is the first and only CNC machined mobile phone. We used aircraft aluminum to build a strong yet light body, silicone carbide polished it, and then anodized it to produce a ceramic surface for the toughest of uses. The buttons are stainless steel and the screens are abrasive resistant cast acrylic. We didn't want to build a phone of precious metals that would wear and scratch, we wanted to use the best materials for the best results.

Technology - We built the most luxurious mobile phone without compromising technology. The Mobiado Professional is unlocked and tri-band GSM network operational. Throw in your SIM card and go anywhere. Equipped with a video recorder and player, digital VGA camera, active TFT color display, Bluetooth wireless technology, speaker phone, streaming video and audio, music player for MP3 and AAC files, and two illumination white LEDs.

Just wondering... how can it be technologically advanced if it's not 3G, or has WiFi, or EDGE? Or a memory expansion slot, mega-pixel cam?

How can it be luxurious if it doesn't use precious metals or crystals?

Kinda weird marketing standpoint to have... The most technologically advanced...and luxurious?!?! huh?

Sounds more like a cheap version of teh Vertu.

And at US$1200..that isn't really a close rival to Vertu... and this phone doesn't even seem to stand up technologically to any high-end phone out today!

If they really wanted to build a decent "high-end" phone, a titanium shell, and sapphire lens would be the least you'd have on it... not aluminum & stainless steel. Or maybe a carbon-fiber shell.

@jcplacson it does have EDGE and an MMC/SD slot at least, if you look at their website it shows the specs.

Im just wondering what the OS is like, the pictures of the standby screen look very much like a nokia and looking through the specs list it sounds very much like a series 40 nokia one.

edit: just found out, its series 40 for sure!
