Samsung is to launch a 2-megapixel phone (SPH-V5100) with 2x optical zoom. SPH-V5100 is enabled with auto focus. The users can also enjoy music by pushing a button turning on the MP3 player without opening the folder.

I know exactly where your coming from....Samsung seems to have a design template for their clamshell phones which they like sticking to for some odd reason...I've no idea why the hinge is so big and extended outwards...beats me! ....could be just a design element! But can't really say for sure? take another look at the pics! The hinge is so big because that's the camera as well. The big circle is the camera lens, and the little thing above it (where the actual hinge is) is the flash.

When I saw the post header I wondered how they would manage to fit an Optical zoom on it without making the thing to big and clumbersome. Neatly done IMHO.

I have to agree that it is ery smartly done. I also can't understand how both masseur and axxxr didn't notice that the cam was the reason the hinge is big

I agree, it's like a modified V200. Too bad it's not GSM.
resistance is futile.
