I think that light blue is normal speed duos and dark blue are high speed. I have a lexar 128 mb duo which is light blue and needs about 4-5 mins to fill it (using a card reader) while my sandisk and sony 128 mb duos which are dark blue need only a minute to fill.

newer memory stick incorporates "magicgate", a copyright protection technology capable of high-speed data transfer, hence the higher price. and yes, its in dark blue.

P900 supports MS-DUO only. It cant use MS-DUO Pro. Normal MS-DUOs` come in white, light blue and dark blue and all can be used on P900.

all phones will take msds with magicgate, i dont think the colour has any thing to do with magicgate because magicgate msds are known by a little groove on the top. [addsig]

The phone can take "all" Duos, but it cannot use the special features on some. As mentioned the magic gate feature.

I got a light blue 32mb with my p900. My s700 came with a dark blue 32mb. I also bought a 128mb Sony ms duo which is dark blue and another 32mb ms duo which is light blue. All 4 have the magicgate logo on them.
