I bought the t610 to t630 conversion kit from ebay and while opening the inside of my t616 i broke the metal latch/lock of the lcd ribbon connector. I knew I had to open it to insert the lcd connection but I think after opening and closing many times to get a good connection, I broke that metal lock. Now my phone is pretty much blind. The phone works, i get calls and i can dial calls but i cant see any missed calls, contacts or any part of the lcd working. Basically I need to know if they have a spare part for that or if there might be a way to make a solid connection of my lcd to the board. i know how to solder but i dont want to apply heat to the board considering it might mess it up even more.

Also I know the LCD isnt damaged its new and was working fine before. Everytime I open the phone the lcd ribbon or connector wire is just hanging out in the phone and not connected. Please help any info will be helpful

if i were you, i would post you exact question here

there are lots of pro's that will help you out.

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

if it works while in the (whatever the hell its called) slot i'd try to secure it temporarily with tape or something like that

maybe manipulating the stub of the lever with a paper clip or pin might also help? [addsig]
