K700i: Connecting to a modem pool using bluetooth modem |

I have just bought a K700i that I will use together with my IPAQ HX4700. After some reading of the threads here at this excellent forum I was able to connect to Intenet using GPRS (vodafone) and it works.
I travell a lot and I therefor have an ISP that I connect to using an ordinary phone number (a modem pool) and this does not work at all. I enter the phone number, user name and password and leave everything else unchanged. The phone dial the number and then it say "connecting" and after that nothing and my PDA says that there is no modem answering.
I tried the same settings with my P900 and everything works I can connect using GPRS and trough my ISP modem-pool.
Does anyone had similar experience and hopefully a solution? All threads I have read has discussed the GPRS problem (z in the modem string solution) not any problem connecting through a modem pool which, IMHO, should be more straight forward.
Any help would be appreticated.
Thanks,
Patrik

Today I realized that this question already has been answered in another thread:
"Posted by boban75
Try this AT command for modem activation string:
+CBST=0,0,1;+CHSN=1,1,0,4
Work with my K700i and ASUS Pocket PC.
GSM connection
Not try yet with GPRS"
I took the above command and put a Z infront of it and now everything works:
"z+CBST=0,0,1;+CHSN=1,1,0,4"
Remember to remove the quote signs if you want to use it.
This gives if you want to connect your PDA through a K700i using GPRS you need to put a "z" in the Extra dial-string modem commands field. If you want to use GMS and dial-up you should use the string provided by boban75 and put a z infront of it (as I showed).

All,
Just to let you know that the string z+CBST=0,0,1;+CHSN=1,1,0,4
is working perfect.
A lot of people have the same problem with the K700i and dialing out
to a normal ISP tel.number.
I struggled with Sony and Orange, nobody was be able to sort this out.
Thanks for the solution.

Can you please give me all the detail steps and the settings you have made both on PC and on K700i to get it dialed to ISP number? |
