Hi,

Having just recently bought my own PC, I was wondering which software is best for making my own MP3 discs for my car.

Depending on the problems - you can also use winamp or audiograbber or things like these to create mp3, then burn with wmp or nero or winoncd or or or..

Make sure youre using a good mp3 codec such as LAME 3.96, for best possibe results.
dbpoweramp.com music converter is free, always ships with the latest LAME codec and is one of the best sound file converters out there.

depending how picky you want to get, musicmatch jukebox has some great features for mp ripping and burning as well as a great library system.

I will admit i've just mvoed to itunes thoug, it was free and meh it still makes mp3s. (no longer listen to music on cd's or any orter portal form that isn't in a memory card form so cd burning isn' important any longer )

Nero is fine too, play with it and you'll see if it works well, Trials are available.
