hi ....hehe

i don't see any tips n trick about the K500i (i know it's 90% the same as K700i) but yet...needs it's own

lemme start by saying sorry if this is known, but it just so happend that i discovered myself without reading any post, but for those that don't know it might come handy.

1 - you can play WAV files but can't use as ringtone (i didn't see listed anywhere that it can play WAV), if your mobile is unbranded (not Vodafone , O2 , etc) you can play/use MP3 as ringtone and save memory.

2 - 90% of games made for T610 & Z600 works and fits great...example (XIII , ChessMaster, SexyPoker2004) etc.

3 - You can apply a Theme , keep everything but change the standby wallpaper (using a non-animated one might help battery).

for now this is it....

oh , and thank you.

What i'm having to do is look for threads about the k700i, most of the tips and tricks for this phone apply to the k500i. Like that 'Media Player' one added recently, where you can press '1' whilst playing a sound file and it will tell you the remaining time etc.

Hmm. dont know if its a tip / trick but i was playing around with the voice-calling feature on the phone and noticed a nice / funny thing.. i'm on a swedish phone, so i dont know the exact english words for the menus

1. input a voice-activation on some contact's number
2. goto Config, Voice-calling, Play name (or something) - turn on
3. Now when that person calls; your pre-recorded name will yell out.

I found out this by accident actually. Had played around with the options, and the next day i was at work and suddenly my girlfriends namn was shouted out from my pocket. heh. After the short voice; the ringtone came on. Pretty nice instead of having different ringtones for different callers.
