Hello all,

Last weekend I had guests staying (my friend + new girlfriend). On the first morning after their arrival, I offered them a choice of espresso or latte with breakfast, which they politely drank. However, later in the day my friend and I got into a disussion about which coffee is best for the morning. He claims that espresso is completely inappropriate as a breakfast coffee. He seems to think that filter coffee is the only right method. I have always liked a double espresso in the morning.

Now, my question is, which type of coffee do you have in the morning? Or do you have something else? [addsig]

Since I have lived in England for 5 years and my mum is English, I sort of feel obliged to like tea, but I still hate the stuff, give me coffee any day. 1

Comes down to what you like I guess london..

I always used to start the morning with an Iced Mocha, wether it was summer or not. No doubt that'd be condemned as well for a breakfast coffee but it had what I was looking for: Sugar, Caffiene.

Nothing wrong with Tea though if you like it (which I do ) but I'd rather drink it at night.

Filter coffee in the morning, green tea at lunch and espresso in the afternoon or early evening. Bliss!

Me? Well, I have a "Mocha". I call mine Revielle (that wake up song made famous by army movies and things like that). Essentially, you chuck all the below into a cup and stick it in the microwave for 2 minutes or so.

A cup of milk (surprise surprise)
CHocolate Drinking stuff (2 heaped teaspoons)
Icing Sugar (1 heaped teaspoon, or if you're really tired, 2)
Normal Sugar (only required if you used 1 teaspoon of the above)
COFFEE (2 teaspoons, heaped as appropriate)

And this has me buzzing for a fair while. It tastes good, AND it wakes you up.

Nick
