The £259.99 advertised in the Buyers' Guide is an error - it is actually £279.99.

most web sites and brochures have disclaimers these day that legally protect them and generally its down to if they accept your order which then constitutes a contract as to whether they have to suppy at the advertised price
I was very tempted by the Sendo X at one time, as I was the neonode, but they both took far too long to become available and now I definitly prefer the windows mobile O/S in smartphones

@meths
masseur is, as usual, correct and it applies to this case as well. There is a disclaimer in the front page of the CPW catalogue to that effect. It doesn't constitute a contract of sale just because it's printed in their marketing material.
@john
It is in December's catalogue at that price - that is what I was referring to. It's a mistake (among many others, usually!) and it is actually on sale for £279.99.

I juts noticed that Expansys have dropped the price of the Sendo X now to £189.95 sim free which seems pretty good

Same here, I did like the look of the Sendo X around the time of the SX1, but I would be concerned with the level of support (or lack of) the Sendo X will have.

the sendo web site certainly looks like biz and gives the feeling they are trying very hard so I'd be hopeful of good support

I would like to see this device selling well, it's just I find it a bit concerning how quiet the launch is, whereas S60 devices are everywhere with massive posters in phone windows, there's very little presence for the Sendo X - to be assured good support, you need to have a decent sized userbase to justify it, although the device is apparently well polished already.
