Vodafone upgrade question |

Well basically its due for my dad to have an upgrade with vodafone/singloepoint soon.
With my T610 my dad got that for an upgrade on his contract and let me have the phone and he still uses his nokia because he didnt really need a new phone. i was wondering if it was possible to do the same but with a v800 or a moto V3, im not sure if it will work with my sim because they are 3g phones.
Basically i want to keep the v800 or v3 and use my o2 sim in it so are they able to be unlocked?
Also will there be a change in my dads sim card because the phone is a 3g phone and will he be able to use a normal non-3g phone with his new sim on his new contract?
Yeah, newbie question but i wanted to make sure its possible

Hehe i might give my T610 to him
But he always says that he doesnt want a complicated phone with all the gadgets, camera etc. in it because he will find it too hard to use so he uses a simple nokia phone which he can understand

The Voda sims are the same for 3G and 2.5G - for some reason they do not require 3G-only USims like 3 phones do.
Also, the Motorola V3 is not a 3G phone!
As to whether you can unlock a V800 to work on another network, I don't know whether it can be done yet, though I assume it will eventually be possible.
Hope that helps ya!
