not entirely sure whats happening. Maybe its a faulty handset? take it back to wherever you bought it and claim it off manufacturers guarantee if it hasnt expired. (it sounds like a manufacturing fault to me).

Is the crashing random? Mine crashes too, but at infrequent intervals. A future firmware should (I hope!) deal with this unfortunate situation.
Where in Mumbai did you purchase this phone?
Cheers.

Don-t worry,pal--mine is just sometimes doing so,blinks sev.times in its white screen. I experienced once during browsing-off suddenly, blinking. And many times when I pressed the camera shortcut button,blink-white screen. Mine is offěcial SE guarantee in Indonesia,R2L001. Yet,I don't care. It happens just occasionally. Still tolerable. Just turn off the handset and everything will run normally.

So u mean its a general bug and its better to get used to it. Maybe its just at some k7 series.

@omnislash - I'm from Bombay too. Rebooting is a common problem with many of these new phones (SE, Nokia, Motorola) as the new operating systems within these devices are so complex that there are bugs, memory leaks etc.
Go to Salora and ask them to check the phone out. Don't go to the Lamington road branch though as it's currently under renovation and I doubt they'll be able to provide you with good service at the moment.
I love my K700i, but to be honest, these new generation cell phones remind me of Windows 3.1!!! (shudder!)
