if its an iPAQ then you need to put a Z in the modem init string in the iPAQ connection settings

I have no idea what you mean by front, back or middle but here are the instructions

this assumes you have paired and setup the GPRS connection with the ipaq in the normal way and that when you attempt to dial out it connects to the ipaq but doesn't actually dial

on the ipaq click start, settings, connections, connections, advanced, select networks and make sure the first select list says bluetooth settings

then click edit, choose the connection (if you have more than one) and click edit.

then click next, next, advanced and in the "Extra dial-string modem commands" put a z (upper or lower case works)

ok that and click finish and you are done

if ths problem isn't the one I mentioned at the top (which is the usual ipaq/SE problem lately and I have posted this fix quite a few times) then please describe in more detail what setup you have done, what is happening when you try and dial out and any error messages. ta!
