Before we start, i have been pulling my hair out searching for the answer to my question for almost an hour now, so forgive me if it is out there.

Anyway, my problem is that i got my Orange k700i yesterday and also bought an Actiontec BT dongle so i could connect to my PC, however I cant get my phone to sync with the Sony Ericsson software, but i can Explore the Bluetooth places (pics, sounds..) and the likes through the blue systray icon.

I made sure all the correct ports are enabled in MPM.
In SE's mobile networking wizard it says "no phone is connected".
SE's Sync Station comes up with "no connection" error.

Pleeeease, someone help me, I WANT TO SYNC!!

Thanks,
Houlty

BTW, i have sp2 installed if that matters (way before any SE/BT software was installed), and all drivers were installed in the correct process as per the manuals.

Thanks for the reply, however, there has been further devlopments.

Although i ticked to setup the Bluetooth serial port during installation, i wasnt aware i had to swith it on from the tray icon (derrrrrrrrrrrrr!).

So now i can sync via bluetooth......only with FMA, as still none of the SonyEricsson software will find the phone over bluetooth.

The SE software does find it over the irda port i have, but thats no use to me, i want to stand at least 3ft from my computer when syncing.

Also, what do you mean by check the device manager, i.e. what am i looking for in the bluetooth device properties dialog??

Thanks again,
Houlty

oh houltry..
i wanted to check up if ur device was properly installed with original drivers and not the microsoft wraparound generic ones..

now that i see u have been able to sync it via fMA, i am sure u can use the phone monitor of just need to configure the same port in its settings and it should work fine.
