I bought a bluetooth adaptor to transfer files to my pc. I have windows xp prof. It seems to work, but only through the pc menu. That means that if I try it from the phone menu I get the "connection failed message". It works only if I do it from the task bar button of the computer.

My phone (K700) is detected by the pc and vice versa, and is always visible. But if I click in the control panel in Bluetooth configuration I get the message "Blootooth Device not found". Also the icon "My Bluetooth Places" on the desktop is not active.

In the "Bluetooth Devices" in "Proprieties" for the K700 I have checked the following services: Network through Phone (DUN) and serial ports COM9 and COM11, but not the "Program drivers for key.." because when I do this, it starts the remote control, and I dont want that (and I dont understand how it works anyway).

try right ckick on the bluetooth icon on the task bar /quick connect/bluetooth serial port/ find devices/ prepare your phone (bluetooth on and discoverable) and use this way to transfer files to and from your phone directly using the file manager supplied by your k700. it worked with my friends k700. NOTE when pairing starts and ends check the box ''allowed to connect without confirmation'' in the dialogue that appears (if it appears) to permit your phone to accsess your computer in the future. of course we are using a d-link dbt-120 with widcomm stack 1.4.1.6 I don't know if it will work on your dongle but give it a try ,you have nothing to lose.....χαιρετισματα μεγαλε.... eyxaristo patrioti,

I think I found what the problem was: the windows xp bluetooth software, which it is considered by the computer as the best available, so that the widcomm one is ignored. I updated the driver for the bluetooth from the cd so now its working fine. Thanks anyway.
