Panasonic has created a car that runs on two AA batteries.The car weighs barely 40 pounds and can go about three-quarters of a mile with a 110-pound passenger two of the company's Digital Xtreme Power disposable camera batteries.In fact, the car's sole purpose is to promote those darn batteries.

Clever but one must remember that the energy output of an AA battery is limited to the amount of potential (chemical) energy stored in the small amounts of chemicals in the cell. The trick here of course, is a car which requires very little energy, rather than a battery which provides a lot.
