I didn't know that SE had a defined style for their phones. So far SE seems to be making some realy good looking phones but I don't see a definite style, and that is what makes SE so good, you'll always get a good phone but won't feel like there is at least 3 other models that look like you own just like nokia and samsung. |

The S700i is based on the sO505i from Japan - see:
http://www.sonyericsson.co.jp/product/docomo/so505i/ad/index.html
And it's been out in Japan for ages - much longer than the design and release of the V80.
Regards,
Shane.

hey scritch is right. the S700i IS based on the sO505i from Japan as Sony Ericsson actually makes the sO505i as well. this phone was out way before the V80.
also look at how sharp and some other companies try to copy the sucess of the T610 design?

are the masters of design, I feel that the concept of the S700 is amazing, the T610 is perfect and the K700 looks professional.
What I love is going to the CPW picking up a piece of plastic noticing th name NOKIA, dropping it, then moving to the smooth, cool brushed aluminium of the K700(for example). You only wish the 6230 was wrapped in a K700 shell.... |

I still think SE had made good phones in 2004. I am looking forward to what's ahead this year.
