Hey all,

I have used my 17" CRT monitor for way too long now and want to upgrade to a 17" TFT. I have looked on eBay (a bit dubius) and all the usual shops (amazon etc). I want a monitor, not necessarily from a good brand, but with the following specs.

Size: At least 15" viewable, but I would rather 17"+
Max Resoloution/Refresh: The one above 1024*768 at 75Hz
Response time: 16ms (12 would be nice)
Looks: I don't care, as long as it works
Condition: Preferably new, but I don't mind a good condition second hand one. (I would prefer a good condition 19" to a new 17" tho... Same with 17" and 15")

Price: Here's the biggie. I am broke right now, and have a low "Christmas Present budget" So anything that's as LOW AS POSSIBLE I don't mind. So far I am looking at the arianet (generic) 17" SIlver premium plus. (It's about half way down the page linked below).

Monitors (find the Airianet 17" Premium Plus one)

But that is still a little out of my budget, and I'd have to sell my CRT to get it, plus find some work. And being in my last year of school doesn't help on the work side.

So can anyone point me in a better direction?

Nick
