Any way I can increase the ring volume of Sony Ericsson K700i to exceed 8? My old Nokia 6150 rings twice as loud as K700i level 8.

@chongg1

The "real" sound level depends on what rate etc your ringtone is recorded at. I use the (old) original Ericsson "low", "Medium", "High" and "Mixed" ringtones and while I only have my sound level set to 5, my K700i sounds really loud using any of those tones. If I set it to 8, my ears hurt...

The ring volume value of the phone only represents the actual volume range that your phone can handle. If 8 is the maximum, this also represents the maximum volume of the phone. If the firmware was changed such that the maximum volume level is 15, the actual volume of the phone still will not increase.

The only way the volume can become louder than the current maximum volume is if the audio amplifier of the phone is changed with one having a higher power output.
resistance is futile.

@chongg1 - I am quite satisfied with the MAXIMUM volume with my K700i then . . . I know that it's kinda LOW when heard in public places, but I just SEE to it that the 'VIBRATE' is turned-on !
