I have had SE's Since it's inception. Two moths ago I made the mistake to get into a Motorola V 400. Not a bad phone at all, just not an SE. SE's are by far the best phones on the planet.
I've tried several phones throughout the years nothing compares.
The T 616 is a classic design and can be modified in terms of cosmetics, however not discontinued as I have heard. Maybe calling it a T 717 or something. The design on the T 616 is like no other.
I changed the housing on My T 616 to a complete black.
My kids call it the Pimp Juice phone.... Go figure.....

I would love to hear other T 616 owners experiences.
I am going to get my son a new model and take his. This way I can restore it and have it as a back up or show model.
It will be somewhat like having a "55" restored chevy in the garage.
LOL !

I could not find original cover anywhere. Does SE sell original covers to the general public?

I picked up the cover from a cell phone booth in the mall. (Florida)
It as shiny as the original. Except there is no aluminum.

@Bobafett
Generally, my stand by time is roughly 10 days.
Talk time is roughly 7 - 7.5 hrs. Better than any phone I have ever had.
SE's are awesome when it comes to stand by time as well as talk time.
It's definetely a keeper.

Maybe half an hour a day , somtimes 20 minutes.
When I talk alot, 3-4 days standby is what I get.
I can talk for 3 hrs in one day and still have, half a charge.

not sure if i'm allowed to post links.. but I came across this site in my travels. Its excellent for S-E parts (housings and other random stuff.. all OEM stuff from S-E too..)
http://www.cnn.cn/shop/ <-- I would not have posted it if it was a crap place.. but they sell all s-e parts cheap, not crappy 3rd party stuff. |
