try to download this stuff: http://mobile.planetmg.com/movietrailer/mp4/anacondas.zip
Surprisingly, it's played in the size of 240x180 pixels in the S700i.
The spec says that S700i can only play the maximum size of 176x144 video. But, it's just distinct...
I couldn't play the video in my PC Quicktime player anyway. But, when I transfered to my K700i, it could be played. Then I tried also in my S700i and surprise, it was played in large size.
I've tried to make any other videos in 320x240 pixels since the anacondas video in that size too. But, unfortunately the videos I've made couldn't played at all in the phone...
weird... like the seven wonder of S700i... only happens with the Anacondas.
it's played vertically and fit to the sides of the screen, means that the width is 240 pixels and the height is 180 pixels.. the maximum number known is 176x144.. that's why you anyway can't play it in "to view" mode because the space available in that mode is 176x144 pixels only.
it's not usual 'cause the other videos are only played in 176x144.. pay attention that the other videos aren't played vertically and fit to the sides of the screen.

Yep it's not full screen, but full width...
So maybe there's no limitation in size of video to play...
Can someone encode a video a bit bigger in so we can test it?

see my posts above.. i have encoded many, i mean many videos, with quicktime 6.5 pro to mp4/3gp with the same size with the anacondas videos (320x240), but none of them was working fine in the S700i.. the phone could play the movies, but only with sound and without any images appeared.
It's only the Anacondas video who suit into this distinction..
Anyway, i've experienced that the videos i've got from http://mobile.planetmg.com (official SE site for downloads), could never be played in my PC. NONE of theme could.. they're surely distinct... i don't know what makes them so unique, just wondering if there's any unique encoding with the videos from that site..

OK. ok. I think i got it.
There are two things in the movie:Video size and Display size.
Video size is still 176x144 and Display size is 320x240 that why the video looks bigger.
I'll post an image with the movie properties....
[EDIT]
Here it is:

That is correct
With mpegable you can set the video size as 176X144 but have a display size of 320X240
With the information that i can see in the screen shot of the settings all the settings are there for you to do your own
You could also try increasing the video size by a couple of extra pixels each side and see if it still works

Well, i can't. Because the FPS and the video bitrate look variable so i don't have the original settings.

You dont need the exact settings because they are variable they will not change much to what you posted in the screenshot
Try 12 fps
200 kb video
and try mono (and whatever the audio setting was)

@amras
I am torn between the S 700 and K 700.
Which would you recommend? One of these will be my next phone.
I know the S 700 has better mega pixels, any other differences?
I also like the size on the k 700. I just want the better overall phone.
