V800 iPaq 4150 Bluetooth modem failure |
annax Joined: Oct 23, 2002 Posts: 53 From: London PM |
Using the V800 as a modem with an iPaq 4150 over Bluetooth fails. The V800 connection works fine using IrDA, it works fine using Bluetooth from other devices (HP Win 2k PC, Sony Clie), and the iPaq 4150 works fine using the bluetooth modem on a T610, T68i, T39 etc.
If anyone else has the same problem, please note it here (there's a guy with a 5450 in the GPRS forum with a similar post). If anyone has resolved the issue, please let us know that, too.

as with the K700, I found with the V800 that I had to use an iPAQ modem init string of "z" (no quotes) in order for the bluetooth dialout to work

I'm very sorry what do you mean with "z"?
I was used to use (and not working):
+cgdcont=1,"IP","web.omnitel.it"
??????
I apologize for my stupid questions but I really do no understand your explanation.

Delete the +cgdcont=1,"IP","web.omnitel.it" string and just put there z. That works with K700, S700, V800 and other new phones.
