3 bluetooth questions, if I may:

1) I power on bluetooth using:
Settings – connection-bluetooth link – set up – power- on
However, bluetooth only activates for 60 seconds before turning off again. In order to re-activate it I ned to repeat the above once to tell it to turn off (although it already is) and again to tell it to turn on again. Is there any way of making it turn on for longer?

2) when I send addresses from a Sony clie TH55 (both vcard 3.0 and vcard 2.1), the phone will connect and ask me to accept data but then (sometimes and not always) the screen will blank and the phone book appears to crash (not recording the new info). Is this a bug in the phone or something else

3) Not very important, but what is the external bluetooth indicator that is referred to in the manual? All I have is a flashing symbol on both the internal & external displays, not an LED per se

Any help appreciated

1) this function is only to make the phone visible in order that you can pair it with something else. there is no way to make it last longer. best just to pair it with whatever you want to connect to.

3) there is a blue light that comes on and off on the top right hand corner of the outside display area (but not on the LCD itself). Its off longer than its on and it only comes on when bluetooth is actually being used, i.e. not just because you have turned bluetooth on

Is there anyway of discovering other bluetooth devices in your area on the V3? The only way I can pair up is if another device discovers my V3 and not the other way round.

If you attempt to sent a contact entry and select method "bluetooth" this should initiate a scan, this is the basics of bluejacking.

Hope this helps
