In a swedish morning paper today, the Chairman of Ericsson Michael Treschow said that the most wanted thing on his "hot stuff"-wishlist was the third generation of P900.
I also have heard from someone at SE that the 3G-P series is more imminent than most people expect. Whenever that is...
Ok, vague indications but pointing towards something...

...and not totally unexpected I guess as I would doubt that they would stop that line of product at the P910

The point I was making was that it's probably closer to launch date than we hope....maybe... |

They do seem to be getting a little quicker at bringing them out. There was a year between P800 and P900 but only 9 months to get to the P910
here's hoping...

I am sure we will see new Pxxxx device on Cebit and then it will ce out in late spring. It will be a revolutionary again as P800 was when it came out. And in the end they want to be ahead of Nokia and they are coming out with 7710. Just my logic ;-).

The much awaited P1000 is not expected to hit the markets before april 2005..... as told by a Sony Ericsson official in the U.A.E.....

P910 is something like a update for P900, so I think that we can expect real successor of P-series maybe on Cebit 2005

Its the phone im holding on for.
I was severly tempted to trade in my K700i for a S700 or V800, but really i want a P1000.
From people ive spoken to who are meant to be SE insiders they say it'll be out around March-June next year, so i'm going to hang on until Cebit in March to see whats announced.
Im still tempted by the S700, which i might get temporarily if my girlfriend wants my K700i.

It'll almost certainly have Wi-Fi and 1.3mp camera minimum.
But what about the Bluetooth ? anyone heard of speculation whether it'll be class 2 ( 10m ) or class 1 ( 100m ). Im hoping it'll have 100m range.

Thanks for that Etabb. It just the news I was waiting to hear. A 3G Smartphone is just what I am after. Imminent sound like just around the corner to me. Cross the P910 with a V800 and S700? HEAVEN. . (My text cursor has disappeared) . :(
