"Your life is mobile?" is the theme of the campaign launched by the Federation of Consumers in Action in a campaign to warn consumers of the dangers of mobile phone usage.

FACUA claims that excessive use may cause "cell phone addiction" and drastic increases in family spendings as well as generate physical and psychological troubles.

FACUA even compares cell phone ads to tobacco industry: presenting them as a tool for freedom, a social status helping to gain acceptance in a group or to make new friends... just like cigarette ads promise. "However, the feeling of such freedom can lead to a real addiction or at least to an excessive use of those devices".

Mobile phones can definately be addictive, I keep buying the damn things! At least it's better for me than drinking or smoking, but if I buy another my girlfriend will kill me!

Its a great feeling to be addictive to esato. The fones are just the equipments, the reason to be addictive here is way more the community.
