Could anyone tell me how to unlock my phone?

Some dork messing around has put a PIN on the phone and I can't get into it.

Is there anything I can do to restore the factory settings?

So it has been changed by the former owner. Se could solve it with reading out the code or put a new fw on it.

You'll have to bear with me as this is all a foreign language to me!!

What's a new fw?...and how do I get it?

Someone said It would cost me £15 to get the lock off but I thought there must be a sneaky code somewhere!

Fw means firmware. Indeed, there are solutions to read the code with pc softwares, but its better to visit se.
