Well it looks like there might be a problem for all dirty old men (..and women) who like to take discreet shots.
By the BBC News the London-based Privacy International (PI) have recommended a default flash be incorporated as standard in camera phones to prevent people taking covert pictures.

I already see a pile of threads waiting to be made 'How do I turn the flash off!'

let's hope the flash is the proper xenon tube type...like the external flashcams used by the s55,sl55,cx65,etc.i took a picture in complete darkness, and the photo reproduction was AMAZING.the k7 led...is just an added cosmetic gimmick!

Yeah. I used to have the cam attachment with my sl55. Was great. SE would do well to do this in future handsets instead of the led. They could produce it as an attachment like they did with the mpf-10 which could have been loads better.

Oh dear lol ..im pretty sure the flash will have a option just like with the S55 you could choose flash on or off :-) besides that its pretty hard to take anyones pic w/o them knowing! ;-)

So what? Easy, make a leather case/housing with the flash covered. Problem solved! I bet that isnt gonna help much!
