Ok, i'm prett confused....What do i need to connect my WiFi laptop to my (now) WiFi enabled PC. Do i need a router? And if so, would it be the better option to use blue tooth as its currently cheaper?

If the only devices you will be connecting wirelessly are the two computers, then you do not need a router.
You just have to configure both wireless adapters to use "ad-hoc" mode, not "infrastructure" mode. This should be a choice in your adapters' management software, or in WinXP Wireless configuration if that is what you are using.
