Hi,

I live in Canada and will be in London for 4 days later this week. Does anybody know if there is any way I can get a local GPRS access on my phone for a limited period of time? In other words, I would love to be able to pop in a UK SIM that gives me a certain amount of data access for web (or unlimited if possible) for 1 week or so. The per kilobyte usage cost if I use my Canadian SIM is so high that if I use only 1 meg during my 4 days it will cost me a fortune. I don't know if any of the UK providers can provide such a temporary access?

Thanks.

You should be able to pick up a pay as you go sim pretty easily in the uk on any of the uk networks... Just put a few quids credit on it and your off! I know Virgin sim cards work without registering... not sure about any of the other networks tho...

And you'll need the gprs settings for your phone too!
