just got my nokia 7600 in he post from CPW when i put my new 3g sim in it it askes me for a restriction code.
what is it and how do i get it?

Is that the sim you got with it? There's a huge batch of faulty sims cpw supplied with those 7600's. Take it to your nearest shop and see if they can replace it.

thanks, but i have a funny felling that its not locked, cos there is not 3 branding on the box, and no other sim will accept ,
ill fone them again 2 moro and if it is the case that its lock im goin 2 tell them i want the unlock code otherwise i cant use it.

Trust me though, it's the sim. I've seen the same problem more than once in another forum. None of the 7600's from cpw come with branding on the box either. But i do believe the quicker with the imei number has the 3 logo.

Boys, thats long taking the phone back to CPW. Jus use this website:

Type in ur IMEI code, and ur fone will be unlocked to any network. Follow all the instructions on the site. If that don't work, then take it back to CPW  |

well i would try it but i have no idea what is a box serial number?
also as BOSSHOGG sed if its the sim i will try my friends 3g sim and if it work i will go to cpw and get a new sim.

its on 3 uk, 2 day i went to 4 CPW shops and no 1 had any 3 prepay sim, finaly at the last shop the guy was really helpfull and he rang up 3 and got transfered 3 time, finaly after waiting 28 minuts on hold i ordered my new sim than i had to register again which took another 12 minuts on hold, i will never move to 3 unless they fix up and improve there cutomer services, id rather pay more pm and be able to speek to sum 1 when my fone dosnt work,
i hate 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Told ya. Oh and 3 are useless. Worse than o2, their call bonuse is in india or somewhere like that.

yes, their customer centre is in india. and i gt the same xperience, i had to wait couple of times more than 15min to get connected to someone. |
