what is the difference between EDGE technology and WI-FI?are they the same or not? |

guy,hard to explain here but edge and wifi are far enough each to other,edge is similar like gprs but faster and wifi is similar like blue tooth but better

I think with a firmware upgrade to the P910 might make it possible to roam Wi-Fi hotspots.

brix, don't think that's possible
they work on really different frequencies.
edge is something thats provided by a mobile operator and his data services, whereas wi fi is provided by an internet service provider and a wi fi transmitter (router).

guys, i posted this on the other thread but have not recieved a reply yet. i would appreciate it if someone could help me with my confusion!
in general, what do you think of the S700?
im thinking to buy this phone for my wife, but what do you think of it? is it worth it? is there anything in the pipeline from SE that i should wait for?
in general, how does the S700 compare to its competitors from other brands like samsung, nokia and siemens?
i appreciate your answer. what cool features does it have?
