Will DSS-20 do the trick? I want to debrand my k700.
Conflicting reports on if DSS-20 is able to deal with it.
Here it says you can

Some say yeah some say no.

from personal experience and posts on the web i'd say at this point in time no chance it works

apparently the chip in the syncstation needs to be cracked first and nobody has done that

I gave up before even trying.
Bite the bullet and buy a freakin T28 serial cable, that way you´re guaranteed success the first time! No name T28 cable was £14 and rewiring done by electronics teacher friend of mine
You should be able to find the correct cable for that amount of money too though.
