Hi all, I hope someone can help....
I recieved some videos via bluetooth from my mates Nokia 6230. When I had downloaded the files, it stored them in "other" folder.
"Other" folder is situated in My Items, under Applications. When I go into this folder, the name of the file is there but there is no icon next to the name (ie film strip or music note etc). Above the left button it says "send" and above the right button it says "more". In the "more" menu, the only options are: Manafe files, Rename, Delete, Info, and mark several. There is no option to open the file and play it. I have tried to delete the folder named "other" but I cant. I figured if that wasnt there then it would save it with the rest of my video clips. I have tried everything and just dont know how to do it!!! Can anyone help please?????????????????

@ens - Glad to have you on-board esato mate! What fone are you using dude? I have experienced that as well, when I made some vids transfer from my fone (K7000i) to my Dad's Nokia 6230 via BT then. The video would not just PLAY or OPEN too, I guess it's simply because that they have a very different video format But what I was shocked to see then was, SOME of my vids in 3gp format were played in the Nokia 6230, while some of his vids in the mpeg4 file would not just open in my K7 There is a thread here where it can help you convert video formats, just do the SEARCH mate! Good luck! |

Hi JN,
Thanks for your reply mate!! My phone is the K700I. Its really strange because the other day i got a vid clip from the same 6230 and it worked ok, but yesterday it stored it in the "other" folder. If only I could delete that then it would go with my other vids??? Its weired!!!
Ive only had this phone 2 weeks and dont have a usb lead or bluetooth dongle yet so cant download software or anything else from my PC.
Do I need to download summat to convert my video files and have you any advice on what dongle to buy????

I've tried sending to my mates 6230 from my P900 and his phone wont play 3gp clips l send via BT but will play mp4 files sent the same way. The videos that don't play can't be deleted until he switches his 6230 off then on again. Thats Nokia for you!
