I can't get files off my phone.

I've got Sony Ericsson T630 and USB Cable DCU-11. The cable works nicely with the MMS Home Studio and the Image Editor applications. I can copy the pictures and MMSs to my phone. All is great.

But I cannot either copy from the phone any data nor copy to the phone using the File Manager programme.

I connect my T630 to the PC by the datacable DCU-11, I can see and browse the contents of the phone's memory. There 3 folders there: Pictures, Sound and Themes. I see all the files. Then I try to copy a file (e.g. a picture) and then I get the error message:

Unable to copy. The operation has been aborted.
Try Again | Skip | Cancel All

That is very frustrating. I can see the files, but I cannot copy or delete them.

What is the problem? How can it be fixed? I would very much appreciate any help or tips you could give.

Try using Float's Mobile Agent instead. The SE software generally do not support retrieval of files from phone using a cable, even if the phone supports it.

So what do I need to do?

1. Download FMA, install it.
2. Connect the phone using the DCU-11 cable.

Phone monitor and COM3 of couese enabled.

Will this be enough for my WinXP SP1? Will I then surf the contents of my T630 with no problems and be able to copy/paste?

- Don't need mobile phone monitor for float's mobile agent, so whether you enable it or not, it doesn't matter
- yes you can transfer files to/from phone, using FMA's own interface

When I use FMA I can't get it to see the phone.

The strange thing is that SE File Manager started to work on WinXP SP1, but it still resuses to work under SP2.

I downloaded and installed FMA stable, but when I start it I get an eror message that some file is missing (I don't remeber which one), so I click OK many times and FMA finally starts, but cannot establish the connection to my T630.

I really like its interface and features, but it just doesn't see the phone. I would love to be able to use, so how can I get rid of that eror message and make the programme connect with the phone?

Have you got any idea or suggestion?
