I'm definitely still not satisfied with R4A008. Still reboots a lot. When's the next revision of the firmware coming? Any news?

the local service point informed me that already admitted issued with GPRS and T39 on FWR4A008. They replaced my unit with an older firmware, R3B006.

It still got bugs though, and reboots occasionally.

Hmmmm....i guess each region has it's own firmware coding. I am staying in Singapore. Currently their latest firmware is R4A007. Works fine though. I have only a small complain here. Initially, i thought by upgrading from R3xxxx to R4A0007 would solve the fonts. Unfortunately when i scrolled to name lists or settings, it is still in medium font size. I guess maybe all t39m users gotta get used to it.
Please correct me if i ever stated any facts wrong.

My T39 was upgraded to R3B instead of R4A008 when I sent it for repair due to the infamous 'no network' syndrome sometime last month.

I believe there are bugs in the R4A008 and that's the reason why they didn't upgrade mine to R4A008 eventhough the upgrade is available.

I was told by my SE Service Point here in Cape Town, South Africa, that R4A008 is the last firmware version that will be released for the Ericsson T39m. Apparently (my local SP), they received an e-mail about this on Wednesday 16th October.

Like other users, I too have had, and continue to have issues with R4A008 (and all previous firmware versions for the T39m). I have had my phone serviced several times and each time they swop components, but this does not help. She still reboots herself, especially while GPRS and when trying to send a new e-mail.

Can anyone confirm that firmware for the Ericsson T39m with end with R4A008?

I have been mislead several times by the local service agent, CSL and make monthly trips to them for have my T39m and T68m(i) repaired/replaced

It looks like sometimes it's better downgrading than upgrading.. My T39 still has the R2M software, and it works OK: no hangs, no reboots, no problems with GPRS, no problems at all...
