Hi everybody. I'm undecided what to buy my mum for christmas and thought she could do with a colour mobile instead of her ancient mono Nokia. My criteria are:
Colour screen
Polyphonic
Cheap
Wap (so I can download tones for her)
or if no Wap then Infra-red so I can download tones and send them to her.
My thoughts so far are either Nokia 3100 or SE Z200. My choice being the Z200.
I thought this might be a good topic for other people to discuss buying phones for other people aswell. |

Well, thats not ALL I was going to buy her obviously. But she keeps going on about how she wants a polyphonic tone etc. I thought it would be a nice prezzie. |

Give her the Z200, anyway you can make all the custom things for her, and sheŽll be more than happy.

@nezwart - The Nokia 7250i/6610 and 6100 are nice fones too. The Nokia 6100 is very ideal for a lady because of it's size . . . consider mate! |

Yep. I'll probably play with it more than her. |

Thanks, I'll keep those in mind. I checked them out on the phone comparison on this site and they are equal/better in all but polyphonics.
One thing though. It says the z200 doesn't have infra-red but im sure it has an infra-red window on the left hand side. Am I right?
EDIT: I read it wrong. It says the number of free tones not the quality.

Kooki, what are the tones like on z200 compared to T630. Thats going to sway it for me between getting her a Nokia or SE. |
