Jabra BT250 with P900 Problem |

Helllo to all,
This is my first post on the Forum.
I have a P900 and a Jabra BT250 headset with voice activated dialling up and running OK.
The problem I have is this......When the handsfree mode on the P900 handset is switched to "headset", calls in and out are fine through the headset, and when I change the P900's handsfree function to "phone" priority I can then receive and make calls via the P900 itself.
The problem is that I dont want this headset thing stuck in my ear all the time because I work in an office where I am constantly putting "land-line" phones to my ear and it gets very uncomfortable
(I use the same ear- can't get on with it any other way).
I also do not want to keep switching the P900 bettween "phone & Headset priority" when in the office as playing with phones too much gets frowned upon. Equally, I dont want to put headset in and out all the time.
On the basis thay I want to leave the P900 set on "Headset Priority", is there any way to make and receive calls via the handset (Other that walking off and putting headset out of range, or turning it off)??
Sorry for going on a bit, can anybody help please as this is a real pain?
Thankyou,
Andy.

Being indoors & not driving wouldn't it be easier to not use the headset at all? |

Hi again,
That is the exactly point I am trying to make (I dont want to keep the headset in my ear ALL the time when I am out of the car, or in the office).
The problem as already mentioned is that i have to keep putting the headset back to make or receive calls because bluetooth diverts to the headset all the time (I dont want to keep having to manually go into the P900's handsfree menu to switch from "phone" to "headset" priority every time I get in and out of the car, shower or bed !!!)
Otherwise I have surely got to either wear the headset ALL the time, or NEVER !!!)
Maybe I am being too simplistic, but if I want to be hands free, I use HEADSET to receive and make (voice actived) call.
If I want to use the PHONE to manualy dial someone it could follow tha I dont nessessarily want to go hands-free !!
Sorry if I am missing something here, but any constructive advice would be appreciated.
Thankyou,
Andy.

Hi Andy,
I am not sure if I understood your question...
At office, I do not use the handsfree..( I turn the bluetooth off and remove the handsfree from my ear)
While driving, I use the handsfree.
Is there any specific reason why you want to use the handsfree in office? |

With headset on and phone calls come in, just answer call with phone and not headset. Make sure headset is not set to received call automaticly. I have HBH 65 w/ p900 when calls come in I can answer with headset by pushing button on headset or use voice command, if not I just hit the OK button on phone and answer with phone.
