Nexus One goes multi-touch, thanks to a celebrated Android hacker:

You just gotta love hackers . What can we do without them?
Nice going there, hopefully they will hack the X10 for those that crave multitouch.
Well, my Bold 9700 is back in its box and I'm back to using the Motorola V8 as my second phone after my beloved P1. There's nothing wrong with the phone, I just got bored with it too quickly. Life is much more than about BIS and the phone failed to get me hooked on it. It just feels like I was using a dumb phone even after a few apps I installed.
At least I still have one upgrade left to get me an exciting phone with Android.

When u first started with got the blackberry did I not say its not very user friendly and its UI is not compatable with most apps, I dis-like blackberry, maybe a blackberry with a better UI would do RIM justice |

. I think for him its purely due to ergonomics, they no longer make P1 type devices (candy bar,touchscreen with QWERTY) except for Palm's Pixi and Pixi Plus,mixed with its (P1) Homescreen with like 10 shortcuts and just the overall convenience of having TS,QW-ER-TY and a UI built around that would be pretty hard to beat.

Ya sorry to hear that,wouldnt you rather do what Wanqa said? Some people at MyBroadBand just cant wait to get their hands on a BB9700, looks like its not widely available yet, you could probably make a sweet profit.

Thanks for the commiserations guys!
@GUCCI
Now, only if you were a manufacturer of cellphones cause you listened to what would constitute my perfect phone :.
@mweaich
I guess GUCCI answered you for me there. I don't really hate BB but need a certain type of phone.
@wanqs
I'll take this week to think what to do with it but knowing me it'll be tucked away like all my phones. I have never sold any of my phones but instead give them away to family members unless I love the phone like the P910i, P1 and the Moto, those are staying with me until they die on me.

Is Sony Ericsson going the way of MOTO?
Sony Ericsson loses another 167M euro, puts all hopes on X10

I hope not.Shit where did they go wrong.GUCCI (our well informed expert in mobile technology) What are your thoughts.One of my thoughts that contribute to their demise is the dropping of UIQ3.They should have released something after the P1i other than those G-pieces of crap and stuck with UIQ3 into UIQ4.

I agree with GUCCI!
SE should be at the top of the food chain by now. They should be better than anything out there but screwing up after screwing up has led us to here.
I also agree with you Hobbs on them dropping UIQ, they should never have! UIQ4 was so far ahead and impressive that Apple's Os wouldn't be able to touch it after it evolved even further. With better support from them UIQ could be the best UI probably followed by Apple's.
Then there's the poor software engineers that continue to kill off what's left of SE's image!
It is not all gloom though, that they lost 100 million euros less excluding restructuring costs says people are still buying their recent phones. They have come up with well specced phones last year and it looks like they will continue to do so. If they could be quick to release and 'steal' Apple's engineers they'll be alright.
I feel Q2 should clear things out, a break even would be a good sign and a Q3 small profit would mean they are back, somewhat.

Was just about to go to bed an hour ago was theres nothing interesting on tv, flicked through the channels about to give up then landed on CNBC (410) ,they had a very interesting documentary called Planet Of The Apps: A Handheld Revolution, it was all about Apples iPhone, its AppStore,developers as young as just 13yrsold and a bit about competition. Realy makes you realise how Apple have just completely changed the game, makes you wonder if there will ever be such a major game change in the near future,as right now its all about apps and user experience. Not sure if it will play again soon,going by the tv guide it certainly aint playing again this week. Lol, imagine if Apple made a car? It would have a ridiculously low fuel milage,like 25L/100km, huge 30inch chrome rims with the Apple logo glowing in the middle sitting still even when the wheels roll,the bonnet would be sealed,need an oil change? Take it to Apple,but hey its user friendly with many internal mods, and so would sell, Toyota and Honda would be cought by suprise and suddenly have to change their approach on building cars, put aside the eco friendliness etc. . . .scary, hope they just stick to phones, itouch and PCs.
