Nokia HDW2 Headset lost lock code |

Hi
I've just tried to twin my Nokia headset with my new p910....can't find the card with the code on ANYWHERE!
Tried e mailing Nokia from their site.... e mail wouldn't send. So I tried calling Nokia.
Has anyone ever tried calling Nokia? Nokia is a computer with many options, selecting any of these optuions will get you...........
.....some more options. Anyway. To cut a loooooooooong stressful tale short suffice to say that even selecting the wrong options to try and track down some form of life (as WE know it) at Nokia proved a waste of time as every form of life I uncovered could do no more than send me back to Customer Services..... otherwise known as the computer with many options! Repeated circuits of the computer with many options eventually led me to the NOKIA PREMIUM RATE HELP LINE NUMBER. It doesn't work (I must check my phone bill and see what it costs to listen to a continuous (premium rate) tone!)
Anyway. Leaving aside my desire to avoid all things Nokia can anyone tell me how to twin my headset and phone?
Thanks. Martinp |

whaasup dude . . . try using 0000 , if this doesnt do it , remove the battery cover , and lift up the battery , under the battery it should be a 4 digit number thats your code . . . but first try 0000 , hope this helps . . . cheers !!!

thanks Neo
Had tried 0000 but tried again anyway.....'bonding failed' checked under battery but no 4 digit there, got a B1869 & C31G1 on one label and 0894113; 12056; BK05 on another label. Tried them all anyway - still no joy
...........I'm thinking maybe a hammer...... |

neo is right, if 0000 does not work, then it is a 4 digit number from under the battery. try 4113 or 2056, one of these should work judging from what you have written above.

tried various combinations of the numbers, 1st 4, last 4 digits, p910 flashes 'bonding in progress for abpout 30 secs then 'bonding failed' Is 'bonding failed' the normal message for wrong key code?
I'm sure the numbers I'm using aren't the code anyway, the 3 on the silver label are preceded by npc, nfc and ndc respectively and the two on the white label have letters in them............
thanks for the help though... |

well Neo, that's pretty much what I've just done...
put my sim back into my old phone (Nokia) and disconnected and unpaired the h/set. Then tried pairing again with 0000, failed. Tried B1869 without the B and it worked 2nd attempt. Disconnected and unpaired again from the Nokia and transferred sim back to p910. Nothing worked, tried 1869 with and without the B, tried combinations of C31G1 also but no good. Maybe my h/set's faulty, hope it's not the 910, or is there a compatibility issue between Nokia and SE?
If I don't resolve soon I'll get a new h/set. Recommendations anyone? |

OH. Have you been using the headset with many phones? If it has been paired with eight devices, it will not accept anymore. To allow more, press and hold the power and volume up buttons for 10s, the LED will then flash red and green for a few seconds. Now repeat the pairing with P910. |
