yeah but u need a different video card. I think a TV tuner card ? not sure ! btw i forgot to mention that's a weird thing to ask in this forum. lol

yes ther is my father just bought a new tv 23" flat screen .. and there it was made for tv(it is a tv) and computers
[edit] and you can buy a computer screen whit built in tv-tuner

My Laptop has S-video TV output so i can use my 32 inch widescreen, but the images look terrible, as there are less pixels on a coventional TV screen.

You just need a graphics card with an S-video out. They are rather common these days.
As BlackBauer24 says, the image will be poor because of the low res of televisions and you will struggle to do everyday computer tasks, but it's nice to watch all those videos you download on a 28" widescreen
