Hi all.. I guess someone on this boards works for Orange, so they can help me with this... I plan to apply for a job at orange soon, and I'd like to know what the Staff Tariff is... Is the handset discounted, what are the call charges/inclusive minutes, gprs, sms.. etc etc..

Regards, Will.

I dont know about orange but here in o2 we get a company mobile which is free but you arent 'really' allowed to use it for personal use but we do get a discount on high street tariffs.
we get half price line rental but the minutes and txt remain the same and the handset isnt discounted. we also get 25% off accessories.

oh and 40% off car kits. and we can get a 30% discount on our friends and families tariffs.

I guess it depends on which job your applying for

Most of the Orange employees I've come into contact with: store reps; trainers; account managers etc have had free phones with full line rental and call charges paid by Orange, on the basis that they do not abuse it. I don't know whether the same applies to their customer services reps or store staff though. I work for a retailer and get a 40% discount on my Orange line rental as a result.

No, not those sort of phone trainers (Why did they ever think of calling their store staff "phone trainers"???!!! )

As in, the people that Orange send out to train channel salespeople on their products and services.
