Why bother with charging? It could have a fuel cell or micro nuclear reactor builtin that lasts 15-20 years at full power output.
And only an 18-bit screen? It should already be a 32-bit screen... with 256-bit 3D graphics, and force-feedback. But if it's compact, then the screen can't be too big which sucks... so the display should be a holographic projection.
Forget EDGE, it should have ultra long range 802.11g
It should also have an FRS radio built in.
Voice recognition and dictation should be capable of being its primary input method, not just a secondary one. Handwriting recognition should be at par with tablet PCs as well.
Camera should also have an optical zoom, with interchangeable lenses and filters.
Speakerphone should also be loud enough to be heard in a noisy mall, and should be in surround as well for listening to MP3s the built-in satellite/FM radio receiver and for watching movies or HDTV.
It should also be the size of a credit card, no thicker than 12mm, and weigh less than 100g. It should also cost no more than US$200 SIM-free, and be 100% free of defects, and never run out of stock at any time.
The sales people selling the phone should know everything about it... every circuit, every feature, every detail... even the exact time and date it was manufactured.
