Hi guys.

I've had a problem with my T39 ever since I got it, the screen crashed when I was on a call - not too bad, just annoying. I finaly decided to try and get it fixed, so emailed ericsson and got a list of approved repair centres.

Went along to the nearest one to me, which was:

Mobile Phone Repair Company
High Carr Business Park
Newcastle Under Lyme
Staffs ST5 7RQ
08707 596 596.

I described the problem to them, and asked them to check it out and do a software upgrade at the same time. The (rude) member of staff told me it'd be at least a 45 minute wait, so I waited. For 1 1/2 hours. Finnaly they said that it was ready. They said that there was a warentee problem with the phone, and gave me a new one (so I lost all the data on my old phone). Stupidly, I didn't test it until I got it home.

The phone that they had given me had the same software version (not updated as I requested), the screen still crashed when I made a call AND it now turns itself off every so often!

Has anyone else had a problem like this? Does anyone know of a better ericsson approved service centre in the UK?

I have sent my phone away to the service point in telford, they told me it would be returned in 24hrs, called up two days later and they told me that it will now be 2-3 days, called today i have been told that i will not get the phone back till wednesday, so in total a week, and i bet the problem will still be there...anyone else have service problems??

Also is R2A out on the new phones??

sent my phone to the telford centre they said turn round would be 24 hrs that was 6 days ago. then phoned them this morning and they could not find my phone on there system. just had a call back and they will be keeping it till thursday to put the latest s/w on it hopefully the mms software
