Hi,

I'm using my Z1010 on a 2G and 3G network. As soon as 3G is available the phone switches to 3G, even if coverage is very low. I tried to select the 2G manually but after a few minutes the phones switches again to 3G.

I have firmware R1C.

Does anyone know if this has been changed in a newer firmware R1G, R1H ?
If there is a possibility to "lock" the phone on 2G or to pioritize 2G over 3G?

thanks

Don't think you can change it. It's network specified.

I went to the store and i had my phone updated to the latest firmware (R1H015)

But the phone still switches to 3G as soon as coverage is available, even if i manually choose the 2G network (

Might ba a feature, not a bug But IMHO this should be changed in a future firmware revision, if there is one.

I think its good to always use 3G. but as ou say, even if the coverage is low, like 1 of 5 it switches. That is bad because at 1 of 5 at 3G no one can call you

Yes. This issue gets better with R1G and R1H, but it will change from 2G to 3G, if the UMTS signal is available. All UMTS phones will do this automatically - don't ask me why.
