I cannot help notice that on my SonyEricsson T68i the sound recorder displays that I have only got half of the 1879 seconds availale to record. In other words, I can only record for 939 seconds rather than 1879 seconds that should be available for recording.

I have not got any voice tags or voice commands at all. The sound recorder's bar is already at 50% with no recordings on the phone what so ever.

Please let me know why this is if you have an idea and how to rectify this thing. Its driving me crazy as I said I can't help notice it.

Thanks in advance.

Hey dude!

I think that everythin' u have on it like logos and stuff makes the voicerecording smaller!
But its cool that its so long so u can have whole songs on it to listen to! does any1 know if u can listen to voicerecordings via headset.....that would be cool!!

voice recorder, pictures, themes, mms', screensavers & ringtones all share the same 1.2mb memory (or something in the vicinity) ... and since the phone comes half full there isnt as much space for voice recordings as you should expect...

Removing extra items increases the remaining time available for recording a lot! After removing a 6KB custom theme and a 22K picture the remaining time increased from 883 to 1008 seconds (with this time I have 648KB free memory).

wow, no matter how much i add or delete my recorder always shows 1879 sec. never tested if it really is that long, but it never told me otherwise, and my free memory ranged between 500kb-900kb. is this a firmware problem or something?

Well, it'll always show 1879 sec next to recording bar, as it shows maximum time with totally free memory. If u really want to check time left, enter recorder and press option button, theres "time left" or sth similar. I guarantee it wont be 1879sec. [addsig]
