Just wanted to convey my views about the present situation of Esato.
Lately there have been a few threads on how "pleased" everyone is and that Esato has fulfilled everyones expectations, it was This Thread that got me thinking. Where is it going?
Why dont Sony Ericsson kind of officially "adopt" Esato as their support? i know i have got alot more useful information from this website than any communication with SE support staff.
That is why i think Esato should at least be acknowledged by SE, maybe included in Manuals etc.

Your thoughts gentlemen and Ladies

Totally agree, although there are some obvious problems, like the fact that they have no control over it, and are therefore unlikely to officially endorse it.

It's a good idea (Esato is THE source of info on ) but I would bet money on it never happening.

On an encouraging note, the rep I saw on Monday was demo-ing Remote Control on his P910i, and guess what I saw at the top of his list of Opera bookmarks?

Yup - www.esato.com

At least they're paying attention...

...And for that, we owe laffen and the mods - good work guys!

i think i would prefer esato to keep its independant status, there is enough nonsense written here some times about how wonderful se with out having to tow a party line laid down by se.
imagine never been able to pass judgement over a se phone without se looking over the shoulder if they did nt like what was been said
just my 2 cents worth i am sure others may agree with you but i would like to see esato say independant

I second that notion . SE could at least consider some things on Esato like the customer expectations, feedback , bugs, etc etc .

Thanks for your opinions it just irritates me that this community saves SE so much time and probably money and yet do a search for "esato" on their website and apparently we dont exist.

The best way SE can pay Esato back is to provide Laffen with inside info on upcoming cool handsets and accessories. I honestly think SE is better off free and independent. The popularity of Esato itself is testament to it's success, it doesn't need to be endorsed.

Esato was, is and should be independent! Do u think se would let to discuss here other brands fones, discuss operator problems whom se has contracts and god knows what kind of responsibilities? Many members are nokia, samsung etc users even esato welcome them, cos only with them is esato a place for global knowledge. But its an se club, for me personally a pantheon for ///.

ok, i take you point but i think Sony Ericsson are in a very lucky position to have a free support network that is widely available and free to use 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

I think that Esato should continue to be privately owned and operated in order to maintain complete freedom of speech for all users, but that Sony Ericsson should endorse and/or recommend Esato to its customers.

At the very least, Sony Ericsson should provide "exclusive" news, pictures and information to Esato and its members...
