Hey guys i have a nokia 6600, when i insert any polyphonic ringtone in mms,it says object format not supported.Please help.

is it something to do with copyright protection, or some crap like that .
i think its really so you cant send them to your mates and they have to buy them

I dont know but i have purchased ringtones from www.hutchworld.co.in.I can send them by infrared and bluetooth but not by mms.Is this problem with all nokia 6600's.

my 6600 cant. i am sure i read somewhere that it was something to do with firmware 4.7 (or what ever it is) nokia stopped you been able to do it .

By default u cant send audio on nokias. Its a nokia thing.

Your phone is probably branded and the net work does not support it. I have an original unbranded 6230 that i use on tmobile and i can download anything and everything i want. No limitations.

@manish, even i'm a hutch user using a 6600 and even i cant send any ringtones as mms. Imo, It is a problem with the nokia's. I can send and download files with .amr and .wav format but not .mp3 or .mmf files... Any ideas any1?

N6600 doesnot support mp3 and mmf files by default and even my friend is having 6600 and using Airtel and even he cannot send ringtones or any audio from his 6600.

Ya vineet is right nokia 6600 doesnt supports mp3 and mmf format.It only supports .Mid .Amr .Wav .Awb formats in audio format.It supports .3gp and .Rm format in videos.

@manish. I am yet to meet one Nokia that allows you to attach audio to MMS. Maybe the series 60 can, but not series 40, to the best f my knowledge.
