Does your handset have 9 lives? |

Have you got a handset that just seems to survive all kinds of situations?
My T610 has survived being dropped in a glass of Vodka & Coke and I thought it was dead but miraculously, after taking it apart and swilling it in a bowl of water, it started working perfectly again.
On another thread, a T610 was dropped into Salsa and survived after a rinsing.
Has yours been sat on, ran over, chewed by the dog, burnt, blown up, washed in the machine etc. Share your funny stories here.. |

I had my T610 for 18 months. During our partnership it has been through many misshaps.
1. Taking my coat off over my head I had my phone in my centre pocket and it droped 5 foot onto the hard concrete floor. This I have done many times. It lived through this.
2. Passing my phone over to a mate at the pub, only to watch it sink to the bottom of my pint of stella as my mate passed it back to me. Survived a 20 second bath of beer.
3. At work I had my T610 in my hand texting my girlfriend. I had just finished and went to put it away when somebody knocked my arm as they walked past and watched in horror as it landed in a 200 litre bath of cleaning chemicals. It was completly submerged under water and you could still see the phone working normaly. The screensaver even activated it was under so long. The phone lights went out, I thought thats it, it's finished now. But I got the phone out it was still working. I switched it off took the battery out and proceeded to blow the water out with an airline. Then put the phone inside an incubator on 30c for 4 hours. Put the phone back together and it worked perfectly.
This is a really hard phone. Sure it's got a few little dents. But it's still working fine now. I gave it to my girlfriend as I have an S700i now. Her Nokia 7210 packed up after I showed it a picture of a glass of water.

not as exciting but...
when i had my /// r600 i was at my mates babysitting his 6 month old daughter, i turned my back for 30 seconds and she had my phone in her mouth (bottom first so the charger contacts were soaked)chewing away!
i got it off her after about a half hour fight and the phone was dead, no response at all. i took out the battery and sim left it on top of the fireplace for a while and luckily it dried out and was fine!

Hope you don't mind, dis is not my story but my wife's. She uses a nokia3410. Just yesterday she told me her phone was ringing, she rushed to pick it up and bang the phone fell hard. The phone went apart and while in pieces was still ringing. She couldn't believe her eyes and she burst out laughing.
