k700i won't allow 'handsfree type' basic |

I just got my k700i today and am quite pleases with it except for this one nagging problem - I pair my bluetooth headset and then go to settings --> Calls --> Handsfree --> Handsfree type and try to select Basic and receive an error "Currently Unavailable" I have two headsets, bluetrek g2 and hbh-65. My firmware version is R2L001. I have tried repairing multiple times with both headsets and even called SE Support. The rep told me that advanced mode is better than basic and that basic does not support full-duplex so I'm better off. I don't agree. Advanced mode sucks up battery. My last phone was a T610 and it let me set basic mode without any trouble. I find it hard to believe that the k700 is incapable of doing the same.
Has anyone else had the same problem or have any suggestions on how to fix it? |

I've been trying to get the K700 to basic handsfree mode since I got it two weeks ago. The Basic mode handles incoming and outgoing calls sooo much better. I hope someone out there has an answer! |

What's the difference? In what sense does "basic" support incoming and outgoing calls so much better? Just curious. Aside from using basic to record voice commands, I haven't been able to figure out what the difference is.
Thanks,

Dude. Bluetooth alone just sitting there sucks up power. What is wrong with simply recharging your phone?

Just recharging the phone in my case would be fine if I didn't spend so much time away from my car, home, or office during the day. It's just that if it is supposed to work a certain way and I already have the expectation that it will (my T610 did) then I just would like to find out why it isn't doing it and maybe find a way to make it do it. I mean, the option is there on the phone - it just won't let you select it. Kinda odd, right? Like maybe something else in the phone has to be enabled/disabled first or like maybe the firmware is waiting for some upgrade or something.
