Local time update happens all the time |

My t610 seems to update its local time several times throughout the day, each time asking me to confirm. This gets annoying, so I wonder if there's something wrong with the phone that the clock loses time so significantly that the update signals are always out of sync. anyone have a similar issue, or know what might be done to remedy the issue? |

It just makes sure the time is right.
Go to Setting-->Time and Date-->Advanced-->Auto Time Zone and turn it off...it should stop now.

Exactly. That usually happens on a certain area where your phone can pick up time information. Mine does that around the OC a lot (Santa Ana / Tustin / Irvine). Doesn't bother me though. |

I couldn't find a setting to make time updates invisible.
The problem with constant updates isn't with the phone, but the way your local provider formats the time.
When I drive around Southern California my phone yells at me to accept time changes every five minutes. It is always the same time as my phone displays, but usually has to do with daylight savings. Sometimes the provider has the right time and daylight savings info, other times they have just added an hour and not updated the daylight savings info.
Call your provider and complain if this problem continues, don't worry about the phone. |
