Welcome here! Its on the left side on the upper apart of the cover at the top. The plastic is a bit thinner there for an effective usage.

Because the plastic is thin at the top so the infrared (electromagnetic) can pass through it.
why, do you find this a problem? |

Lost Angle style post but who cares
I posted this in another topic a while ago.
The ir port is basically where the rectangle is, below the case.
[edit]The infrared signals can pass throught he lens.

I've got a laptop and no room on my desk. With my SE T300, I could set the phone next to the infrared on the computer and have them parallel. Now, I have to point the phone at it funny and take up more space. |
